Joy Division’s entire back catalogue will be re-released later this year with a number of extra tracks being made available for the first time.
The re-issues – which hit the shops on September 10th- will include all three of Joy Division’s albums, 'Unknown Pleasures,’ 'Closer' and 'Still.'
As well as the bands albums, live recordings from shows in High Wycombe, West Hampstead, Manchester and London, will also be released to show different stages of the bands career.
Joy Division will also re-release the single, ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart,’ on September 17th.
The re-issuing of the bands back-catalogue coincides with the release of the biopic, ‘Control,’ which follows the life and times of frontman Ian Curtis up to his death in May 1980.
‘Control’ received much praise from critics when it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France earlier this year.
