If you thought pop music had gotten lazy over the past few years, then just wait until you hear how similar every country song sounds.

An eagle-eyed YouTube user, who goes by Sir Mashalot, has put together a mash-up of six country songs, which sound so remarkably similar you can hardly tell it's not just one song.

The video begins, "Once upon a time, six nearly identiacal hit counry songs were separated at birth, but now they're back as one," before proving just how accurate that statement is.

In the decription for the video, Sir Mashalot (AKA Gregory Todd, an aspiring country singer), is keen not to offend anyone too much. "I just want to be clear that this Mashup is all in good fun," he writes.

He continues, "I am not bashing these songs. I understand and even appreciate why the "formula" continues to dominate the airwaves- not only in country music, but in pop and other genres as well."

Florida Georgia Line’s 'This Is How We Roll'
