The 40th season of ‘Saturday Night Live’ began last night featuring performances from Ariana Grande and The Weeknd. Watch the video below.
Clad in her trademark cat ears, the rising pop star performed her current smash hit ‘Break Free’ which features a euphoric EDM influenced chorus.
For her second performance on the episode, hosted by ‘Parks and Recreation’ actor Chris Pratt, the ‘Problem’ hitmaker brought out Canadian crooner The Weeknd. The pair performed their song ‘Love Me Harder’ which appears on Grande’s LP My Everything.

Recently, Ariana Grande was included in the list of celebrities whose nude photos had allegedly been hacked. Addressing these, Grande told members of the paparazzi in LAX airport: "Those weren't me, it was funny though. That's not my room, that's not my cat, that's not my belly button ring, that's not my hair, that's not my profile. I was like, 'Whoever that is...' I was like, 'Alright!' No, that's not me."
Meanwhile, The Weeknd will be heading out on tour in the U.S., with ScHoolboy Q and Jhené Aiko serving as support acts.
