With 'best of' lists already filling music sites across the globe and everyone seemingly revelling in this year's achievements, we feel it's also important to look to the future, and one of the best indicators of emerging talent is obviously the BBC Sound of... poll.
Year in year out, tastemakers from across the industry come together to decide who they think will be big in the future, and without fail every time they're right, with the likes of Sam Smith, Jessie J, Haim, Michael Kiwanuka and a host of others winning in previous years.
Today saw the 2015 longlist annnounced, with 15 artists from across the UK and US all oozing potential in different ways.
