With a new album out next week, a headline slot on the Radio 1/NME stage at Reading and Leeds this weekend and a huge show supporting The Killers on the cards for later this month, it would be fair to say August is a pretty busy month for The Courteeners.

Concrete Love, the band's fourth album promises to be their most caculated and intimate to date, with frontman Liam Fray going into great detail about the group's fresh approach to proceedings, telling Gigwise "it was really cool to take a more relaxed approach, and it feels like there's a lot more breathing space on this record."

To further prepare for the album's release and these massive shows, The Courteeners played a warm up gig in Liverpool last night (18 August), here are the 14 best photos from the band's intimate performance.
