A man was hospitalised at the weekend after being bitten during Arctic Monkeys’ headline set at Lollapalooza festival in Chicago.
Ben Lenet was watching the Sheffield band’s performance on the first night of the festival when all of a sudden, he had to defend himself from an attacker who reportedly clamped down onto his arm with his mouth, puncturing flesh in the process.
The incident reportedly happened an hour into the band’s set, which Lenet was watching with two friends.
NBC Chicago reports one of the group was put in a bear hug and thrown to the ground by the attacker, with the biting incident occurring after Lenet put his hand on the man to get him off.

The attacker reportedly “craned his neck back and clamped on Lenet’s forearm” before receiving a "full kick to the face” from one of the victim’s friends.
Lenet was then taken to hospital and treated as a precaution against infection, deciding not to return to the festival for the final two days.
Police have confirmed there have been no arrests in relation to the attack.
This was the second incident of a similar nature to occur this weekend, after a man reportedly bit off another man’s finger last Saturday (2 August) at a Beyoncé and Jay Z concert.
