US superstar Rihanna punched a fan in the front row of her Birmingham concert on Monday night (17 June, 2013) after a fan grabbed her arm as she met members of the audience during the show. See a video of the incident below.
Rihanna walked down from the stage to interact with fans while singing 'We Found Love.' One fan, after taking hold of the star's hand, was reluctant to let the star go when she tried to continue walking. Security tried to intervene, but Rihanna hit the fan over the head with her microphone.
She took to Instagram to justify her actions, writing; "Purpose! That b*tch won't let me go."
She is the latest star to repremand fans for touching her; Beyonce recently spoke down to a fan in Copenhagen when he slapped her bum during a performance.
The singer was already two hours late for her performance at Birmingham's LG Arena after partying with Cara Delevingne.

This was her penultimate show in the UK leg of her Diamonds tour, after playing Cariff, two dates in London last weekend, and her final UK date is tomorrow night in Sunderland.
