Josh Homme wants to make another record 'right away'
Frontman doesn't want another six year gap

Josh Homme is apparently eager not to leave too much of a gap between ...Like Clockwork and Queens Of The Stone Age’s next album, saying he thinks they should make another record ‘right away’.
There are apparently nine songs left over from the ...Like Clockwork writing session, though it’s not clear what the future holds for thos tracks.
Speaking to Billboard Homme said: “I think we should make a record right away - but I think we’ll know when that is.
“The future is always out there isn’t in? As soon as everyone looks to the left, we’ll show up from the right hand side. I mean, that’s what we’re supposed to do, right? Isn’t that the minimum obligation of a band, to try and enthrall and surprise and, with as much mystery as possible, appear to its fans. We’re supposed to walk first; we’re not supposed to take a CNN poll.”
With their most recent album, their first in six years, currently sitting in the No. 1 spot in the US charts it’s easy to see why Homme might be feeling eager to get back to work.
...Like Clockwork was born out of a long break and Homme’s depression following complications during knee surgery.
Homme says the album represents the “tightest, bond-wise, we’ve ever been.
Queens Of The Stone Age at Download Festival
"Everyone trusts each other. Everyone has each other’s backs, and I think that solidarity really helped to sort of stabalize the sort of more vulnerable moments of the record.”
Homme and the rest of Queens Of The Stone Age are currently on the road to support the new album, and this weekend hit Download Festival with a set mixing old and new songs.
