Lana Del Rey's 'Young & Beautiful' has been officially released as the first single from The Great Gatsby soundtrack, and now has a suitably epic video to accompany the track. Watch it below.

Lana's string-laden new track is a relatively simple affair, with the Born To Die star performing alongside a huge orchestra, and the sultry star posing seductively in the way only Lana can. Channelling Nancy Sinatra stronger than ever, the star is seen fiercely emoting through a soft-focus lense, while wearing enormous hoop earrings and a small jewelled detail on her face.

Lana Del Rey previously described her work on the Baz Luhrmann movie as 'an honour', and spoke of her love for the original Great Gatsby book.

"It was an honour to work with Baz Luhrmann on his amazing adaptation of one of the most extraordinary books ever written," she said. "The movie is highly glamorous and exciting; Rick Nowels and I were thrilled to write the song for the film."

The soundtrack has been curated by Jay-Z, who has contributed a new track to the collection.

"The Great Gatsby is that classic American story of one's introduction to extravagance, decadence and illusion," said the rapper of his work on the project. "It's ripe for experimentation and ready to be interpreted with a modern twist.

"The imagination Baz brought to Moulin Rouge! made it a masterpiece, and Romeo + Juliet's score wasn't just in the background; the music became a character. This film's vision and direction has all the makings of an epic experience."
