Canadian showcases are set to take place at this year's Great Escape, and Neon Gold Records have also announced the line-up of their festival stage.

Canada House are returning to The Great Escape to deliver a series of Canadian Blast showcases, which will feature 14 Canadian artists - from nu-disco to garage rock. The Canadian Independent Music Association is teaming up with showcasing partners in order to present three days at The Tiger Club.

The showcases kick off on Thursday 14 May with an Ontario Showcase from The Ontario Media development Corporation, followed by Nova Scotia Music Week hosting a showcase on Friday 17 May and Alberta Music, Manitoba Music and SaskMusic combining for a Prairie BBQ Showcase on Saturday 18 May.

Among the artists confirmed to play are A Tribe Called Red, Cousins, Boats and Fist City - as well as many others.

Festival-goers can also expect to see some great bands on the Neon Gold stage.

Neon Gold Records teamed up with Chess Club and National Anthem for the stage, and has just announced the exciting line-up.

Diana and Lulu James are set to perform, as well as MØ, before CHVRCHES play the main slot - in what could be one of the most exciting sets of the entire festival.

The event will be taking place on Saturday 17 May at Digital, and is wrist-band only entry. Tickets are on sale now, for more information, visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
