Calvin Harris attacked with drink during London DJ performance

  • Mick Jagger was apparently punched in the face - by bandmate Charlie Watts! During the mid-1980s, an intoxicated Jagger phoned Watts' hotel room in the middle of the night asking "Where's my drummer?". Watts reportedly got up, shaved, dressed in a suit, put on a tie and freshly shined shoes, descended the stairs, and punched Jagger in the face, saying: "Don't ever call me your drummer again. You're my fucking singer!"

Calvin Harris must have missed a beat at a recent London DJ show, when a reveller at his live show hurled a drink over the 'We Found Love' superstar during his performance.

Harris was DJing at the club when a club-goer threw a drink purposely at the star and soaked him. However, Harris just stuck two fingers up at the drink-thrower, took a shot and kept going with his set.

A source told The Sun, "Calvin took it all in his stride. He even joked that next time he DJs he’ll wear waterproofs. The culprit was dealt with very quickly and 95 per cent of the clubbers didn’t even notice.

"Calvin was a pro and carried on unphased and ended up DJing for extra time when a lot of lesser performers would have stormed off."

Harris recently made chart history by being the first artist ever to have eight singles from one album make it into the Top 10.

His latest track with Ellie Goulding hit No. 7, securing the record for Harris and allowing him to overtake Michael Jackson - who only had seven Top 10 singles from one album.

Calvin Harris did not let having a drink thrown at him phase him

Martin Talbot, from the Official Charts Company, said, "Many artists only achieve a handful of hits in their entire careers, so for any act to secure three or four from one album is an excellent achievement.

"In turn, eight top 10s from one album is not just impressive, it is absolutely remarkable. And, of course, record breaking. Congratulations to Calvin Harris, the modern day hit-maker."
