Glastonbury organisers ask for feedback after ticketing resale misery

Resale tickets sell out in under an hour

The last opportunity for fans to buy tickets for Glastonbury 2013 sold out in just over an hour, with organisers asking fans for feedback after complaints about the resale system.

The resale meant that the last batch of tickets were available, and quickly sold out as demand was high. According to organisers, the weekend camping tickets were gone in just over an hour, with coach packages following soon after.

Festival organisers said that "demand far outstripped supply," despite the tickets costing £10 more than they did last year.

Fans will be eager to see the headliners, which include the Rolling Stones, as well as Mumford & Sons and Arctic Monkeys. However, the ticketing process has been heavily criticised, with many fans failing to score tickets.

Emily Eavis, one of the organisers of the festival, seems to have taken this into account - as she tweeted asking fans for feedback about the ticket buying process.

Eavis wrote on Twitter ,"We'd really like to hear how you got on with the ticketing process today,so please email ticketing@glastonburyfestivals.co.uk. Thanks a lot."

The Rolling Stones are headlining at Glastonbury Festival this year

Steve Roest, Head of European Business Development at Viagogo said: "Our experience shows that as an event approaches, more tickets are resold as people’s plans change.

"However, personalised tickets and a limited resale window restricts this, with many fans losing out as their plans change closer to the time and they cannot resell."
