You stole my song! Stars accused of music theft
As Will.i.am is accused of ripping off a dance duo, who else has possibly borrowed a little too much...
- Alicia Keys: Songwriter Earl Shuman claimed the singer used parts of his track without his permission, and filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against her. According to him, Keys' 'Girl On Fire' sounded too similar to his own song 'Hey There Lonely Girl', including parts where she sings a couplet or so of the song and uses an uncredited sample.

Will.i.am is at the centre of a dispute at the moment, as he's been accused of stealing the track for his new song 'Let's Go' from 'Rebound', a dance track produced by Mat Zo and Arty.
Whether Will.i.am did it or not, it's not the first time that a musician has been accused of stealing songs - or lyrics, melodies or even just "a catchy pop vibe that both draws people in and sticks in people’s heads," because it's not like there's much of that around in pop music.
