You stole my song! Stars accused of music theft

As Will.i.am is accused of ripping off a dance duo, who else has possibly borrowed a little too much...

  • Frank Ocean: Earlier this year, Micah Otano brought a lawsuit against Frank Ocean, claiming that he stole his hit 'Lost'. Otano says that the track was originally called 'Daylight', and that he wrote it - not Ocean. Otano went on to claim that he co-wrote it with Ocean's producer Malay, who copied the track and renamed it before giving it to Ocean.

Will.i.am is at the centre of a dispute at the moment, as he's been accused of stealing the track for his new song 'Let's Go' from 'Rebound', a dance track produced by Mat Zo and Arty.

Whether Will.i.am did it or not, it's not the first time that a musician has been accused of stealing songs - or lyrics, melodies or even just "a catchy pop vibe that both draws people in and sticks in people’s heads," because it's not like there's much of that around in pop music.

Some of these won't be a surprise and some of them will, but we've got together 10 accusations of stars who are musical magpies. From Usher to Taylor Swift to even Lady Gaga, which stars have been accused of being musical thieves?

Take a look and find out...
