Lady Gaga unable to perform live shows until 'at least September'

Hip problems and songwriting take priority

  • We already told you about the possible collaboration with Azealia Banks, but the album could also see collaborations with both Beyonce and Rihanna. A leaked track called 'Ratchet' featured all four of the singers on it and, although it hasn't been confirmed either way, it would definitely be something to look out for.

After having to cancel 21 dates of her Born This Way Ball tour, Lady Gaga might not be back in action until September.

Gaga had to postpone her tour in February when she needed an operation due to a hip operation for a labral tear on her right hip, which left her in a wheelchair. The 'Judas' singer was also suffering from synovitis and inflammation of the joints and has only recently got back on her feet.

A source told Life & Style that she "won't be back in action until September," and is feeling frustrated by the diagnosis.

"She's relaxing and rehabbing," the source said. "She actually just started walking again, which is great."

The insider continued, "She has a bunch of projects she wants to roll on, but she needs clearance from her doctors. It’s really frustrating her."

However, it's not all bad. The source also said that Gaga's injury has meant that as well as taking it easy, she's been able to use the time to focus on her music - namely, working on upcoming new album ARTPOP.

"It's very therapeutic," the insider told Life & Style, referring to Gaga's time spent songwriting.

Gaga's manager, Vincent Herbert, recently told the New York Daily News that Gaga is "doing unbelievable" a month after the surgery, and added that she is "doing wonderful, doing great."
