Rap icon Kanye West is being sued over the use of a sample heard in his 2005 'Gold Digger' hit single.
According to US gossip website TMZ, the family of David Pryor are filing a lawsuit against the star for apparently ripping off their father's 'Bumpin' Bus Stop' by his group - Thunder and Lightning.
The American chart topper is alleged to have stolen a 13 second clip of the track. The family are adamant that West's iconic line "Get down girl, go 'head, get down" was taken from their dad's line "Get down", which is repeated three times.
Trena Steward and Lorenzo Pryor, who both own a quarter of the song, expect millions of dollars in damages for the unlicensed sample. The pair also claim that West and his team: "systematically and willfully refused to clear samples of the Plaintiffs' original, copyrighted work in order to gain a commercial profit and to avoid paying and crediting the author."

A spokesman for the rapper has yet to be reached.
