New music: Justin Timberlake 'Suit & Tie' and Daft Punk loop mash-up

Chicago producers The Hood Internet go viral

  • Rumoured tracks include 'Renoma Street': We all got very excited in the summer when it was revealed a new Daft Punk track 'Renoma Street' was due for release in July 2012. Then it didn't happen so we all went and listened to Homework for the millionth time. The track was named by French dance magazine Tsugi, who hopefully took their listing from some whisper of truth.

Chicago-based production duo, The Hood Internet, have created one of the best mash-ups of the year so far by merging Justin Timberlake's 'Suit & Tie' with the recent 15-second loop heard on the Saturday Night Live Daft Punk commercial. Check it out below.

The remix manages to breathe new life into Timberlake's comeback single whilst reminding us all why we can't wait for Daft Punk to return.

The US pair are well known for mixing hip-hop tracks with indie rock, but have out-done themselves with this funk-filled track that you could imagine being a club floor-filler across the globe.

The mash-up is so impressively addictive, it even makes you start to imagine what a Timberlake, Daft Punk collaboration could be like.

Listen to the mash-up below:

However, let's not get carried away and just thank The Hood Internet for improving 'Suit & Tie' and making something of the teasing Daft Punk advertisement all in one fould swoop.

Daft Punk are being heavily linked to an appearance at this month's SXSW as pictures have surfaced of the French duo's promotional poster on a street in Austin, Texas.

Although Daft Punk are yet to confirm any live dates, the promotional banners have meant the SXSW rumour has been gathering pace across social networking sites.

Daft Punk are yet to announce release dates for their new material, although in 2012 the date 13/3/13 was teased, which could indicate an official premiere today.
