Adele came back to the UK with more than her Oscar, according to the Daily Star as she allegedly splashed the cash on treats and accessories for her pet dog, Louie.

The British singer picked up her first Academy Awards for Best Song at this year’s Oscars, but apparently missed her beloved dachschund so much that she spent hours shopping for him in some of LA’s most popular pet shops.

A source told the Daily Star: “Adele really missed her dog during her six weeks in America. Every time she was out in Los Angeles she kept buying him little doggie accessories.

“She loves all the upmarket Hollywood pampered pet stores and couldn’t believe how doggie-mad LA was.

“Adele spent hundreds on Louie, buying new clothes, collars, coats and scarves for him to wear in London.

“She even brought him a stylish new bed.”

Adele may have have picked up an Oscar, Golden Globe, Grammy and a Brit in a memorable awards season, but her feet are being firmly kept on the ground by her family as her Aunt explained recently.

Anita Adkins told The Sun: “She doesn’t get any special treatment - of course not. Why would she? There’s plenty of nieces, nephews and grandchildren in this family so no one gets any special treatment, I can tell you. They’re all treated the same.

"Adele comes round and she’s still got to go and make her nan a cup of tea, I’m afraid."
