Parks & Recreation's Ron Swanson dances to 9 minute Daft Punk loop

Video: internet gold right here ladies and gents

  • It will be less rushed than Human After All: Even to the most dedicated Daft Punk fan, third album Human After All was a bit of a disappointment. It was reportedly recorded in six weeks, and the noisy, repetitive sounds on the album was testament to that. Internet gold, right here: a new video of Parks & Recreation icon Ron Swanson dancing to a nine minute loop of the new Daft Punk sample has gone viral. Watch it below in its full glory.

No one knows how the loop, which was premiered recently during an advert break on US TV show Saturday Night Live, fits into the Daft Punk 2013 comeback, but the 15-second excert has cause hysteria among Daft Punk fans clamouring for the French duo's comeback.

Already the loop has been turned into a full track by producer We Plants Are Happy Plants, and now a nine minute video of actor Rick Offerman (Ron Swanson from US comedy Parks & Recreation) dancing to the loop has brought pleasure and amazement to thousands online.

Daft Punk are set to release new music later this year, and have collaborated with disco legend Nile Rogers on their new album, which is believed to be titled No End.

Fans have praised the 15 second loop, taking to Twitter to speak of their love for the teaser. jamesvandergeek wrote, "ok but actually daft punk's new 15 second release is the best new thing," with Kerry Davis saying, "Love it, disco vibes!"

Comparisons to other songs are rife. Omarkasturi wrote, "that "new daft punk song" sure sounds good, sounds a lot like discovery," and Allan Oliver posted, "People saying that clip from Daft Punk's new album is like a elevator song. Is that true, or they just don't know who is Daft Punk ?"
