6 March, 2013: Guitar legend and former Dr Feelgood star Wilko Johnson performed an emotional show this week at London's KOKO as part of his farewell tour after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Wilko was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year and decided not to go for gruelling chemotherapy treatment that would add only a few months to his life.

Instead he chose to spend his remaining time alive tour and writing and recording songs, and recently said that the the grim news had been an unexpected source of inspiration.

Speaking to The Big Issue recently he said: "After getting this diagnosis, I immediately started writing songs. Trust me to leave it to the last f**king minute!

"Everybody thinks, 'What would I feel like if I got told that? But, with me, it's nothing like I'd have imagined. Suddenly, all the stupid things that hang you up normally don't matter.

"There's nothing to worry about. Suddenly you just exist, and everything is very, very vivid. It's a buoyant feeling."

Check out photos from his London show here.
