Lady Gaga fans blame Madonna for encouraging spread of HIV

Lady Gaga's fans have written a letter which blames Madonna for being 'one of the major reasons of AIDS.'
Madonna was recently announced as the person who will present Anderson Cooper with a GLAAD award that recognises openly gay media professionals, at the 24th annual GLAAD awards in New York.
However, several of Lady Gaga's fans have written a letter to GLAAD, stating that Madonna should not be allowed to do so, making wild claims that she is partly responsible for the spread of the AIDS virus in the '80s.
The letter, posted on a Lady Gaga fan blog, reads, "Dear GLAAD:
It has come to the attention to Little Monsters everywhere that you are letting Madonna give an award to Anderson Cooper. Not only is this an insult to a true gay rights activist like Lady Gaga, but it insults every gay man and woman on this planet.
Madonna is one of the major reasons for AIDS. Back in the 1980’s, she encouraged gay men to have unprotected sex. While she certainly didn’t start the disease, she and her lack of morals helped it spread.
Please rethink your choice of having Madonna as a presenter. If you don’t, we Little Monsters will strike back in a way you won’t like.

Gaga's fans think that she should be the one to present the award
Madonna has always encouraged gay man to have protected sex, despite the letter. It's thought that the fan who wrote it might be trying to start trouble, though, as other entries on the blog feature similar offensive and provocative content.
The feud between Lady Gaga and Madonna fans has been around for a while, with Madonna fans accusing Lady Gaga of copying the 'Like A Virgin' singer.
