Simon Cowell battling X Factor bosses to keep Louis Walsh and sack Tulisa

Tulisa is set for the axe from The X Factor in 2013, with rumours suggesting Simon Cowell is at war with show bosses to keep old friend Louis Walsh on the judging panel of the TV talent show.

The X Factor is going to be shaken up this year due to falling viewing figures, and Tulisa is one of the casualties.

According to The Sun, Tulisa will be told "within weeks" that she is not going to be kept on - and show bosses apparently want to get rid of Louis Walsh as well, despite Simon Cowell fighting "tooth and nail" to keep him.

A source told The Sun, "He will fight tooth and nail to keep him on the show.

“It hasn’t reached the shouting stage yet - but if it does, Simon is prepared for the fight."

Speaking about Tulisa, the source continued, "Quite apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgment on other singers.

“Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end."

Tulisa might not be returning as an X Factor judge

A spokesperson for the show said, "No formal decisions have been made on the panel for 2013’s X Factor as yet." Rumours are also spreading that Robbie Williams could be brought in to judge alongside Gary Barlow.

Tulisa's spokesperson refused to comment.
