Vampire Weekend announce 2013 tour including London date

Band reveal album title in newspaper advert

Vampire Weekend have announced details of their 2013 tour - as well as details of their new album, Modern Vampires Of the City.

The band revealed the album's title in a post in the New York Times, after giving fans a cryptic hint about the announcement on Twitter to look in the newspapers Notices & Lost And Found section. The newspaper post names 7 May 2013 as the US release date of the album. The album will be released on 6 May in the UK. See the advert below.

Furthermore, the band have announced a string of US and European dates for the coming months, starting with their March show at SXSW 2013. They will perform two European shows, at The Troxy in London on 8 May and at Casino De Paris in Paris on 10 May 2013.

The band have also revealed the tracklist of Modern Vampires Of The City. Check it out below.
