While some couples have made the music industry their home and flourished as both a profession and personal pairing (see Bruce Springsteen and his missus, or Jay-Z and Beyonce) more often than not it makes for volatile relationships.
Money, drugs and fame all contribute to pushing celebrity couples to breaking point, as well as clouding their judgement in initially entering into the relationship.
Rihanna and Chris Brown are the fiery couple of the moment, with many frustrated by Rihanna's apparent determination to continuously return to the man-child that is Chris Brown.
