Jessie J has confirmed via her Twitter account that she will shave her head for this year's Red Nose Day.

The singer will be one of the many celebrity 'Fun Raisers' that will be doing different dares and can be sponsored by the public to raise money for Comic Relief.

Many of us would have thought that Jessie is dreading losing her hair, but she couldn't seem to contain her excitement over Twitter.

She wrote: "I am SO hyped for you all to be able to join me in doing DARES to raise money for @rednoseday."

The singer didn't actually break the news herself, but game the game away by replying to tweets that were asking her if she was going to go shave her head.

In a series of answers to fan's tweets, Jessie revealed that she would be shaving her head live on television on Friday, 15 March 2013 (Red Nose Day).

Jessie then tweeted a link to her sponsorship page and wrote: "56 days until I will be bald for @rednoseday...what dare will you do?!"
