The world's largest battle of the bands competition returns this year giving an usigned act the chance of playing a world tour.

New and unsigned acts have until Monday, 21 January 2013 to enter the global battle for a chance to win the opportunity to film a music video, record an album with Hard Rock Records and receive $10,000 of new gear. The competition can be entered from the Hard Rock Cafe Facebook page.

Head of Music & Art Relations at Hard Rock International, John Kirkpatrick said: "“Hard Rock is eager to uncover another pool of budding talent and provide them with an international stage to showcase their talents.”

"We hope the continued success of this programme will catapult an emerging band to success and introduce their sound to Hard Rock’s worldwide audience."

Could your band win the Global Battle of the Bands 2013?

The competition winners will have to get through rigorous phases which include winning a public Facebook vote and live performances judges by the likes of Steven Van Zandt of the E Street Band.

The Grand Prize winner will play a World Tour in cities including Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Chicago and Honolulu. To register, wannabe rockers can visit one of the Hard Rock Cafe Facebook pages. For a full list of participating locations and rules visit www.hardrock.com.
