Bastille, Biffy Clyro, C2C and more: albums of 2013 we already love

The best albums of the year - so far

  • Everything Everything - Arc: Possibly the album most people were excited about at the start of 2013, people couldn't wait to get their hands on Arc. Released at the start of this week (Jan 14) this ingenious collection of indie brilliance shot to the upper reaches of the iTunes chart in a matter of days, and so it should've. Arc bristles with energy and feels like something truly progressive that will have a lasting effect of the band's musical contemporaries. Released: 14 January 2013

It might feel like we've only just finished talking about the greatest albums of 2012, but we're already looking ahead at what 2013's going to bring the music world.

We're only 18 days into the new year, but we've seen some fantastic records released already, and some huge releases are just around the corner.

Here we take a look at the 10 best records of 2013 so far, spanning indie rock, to rap, to electronica, and everything in between so you know what you should be looking out for in the early months of this year. These are the albums we've been listening to, and loving, at Gigwise since the start of the year - and we think you'll like them too.

Judging by the records on this list, 2013's going to be a monumental year for music, with plenty still to look forward to. Check out our favourite albums of the year so far.
