One of 2013's returning legends, Suede, have unveiled the artwork for their new album.

Bloodsports is the group's first release in 10 years and is due to arrive in March this year.

The artwork for the new record features a naked man being pinned down by a clothed woman in the middle of frantic movement blurs, with 'Bloodsports' scrawled in red handwritten text across the cover.

Speaking to NME, frontman Brett Anderson explained that the new album: "It's about lust, it's about the chase, it's about the endless carnal game of love."

The new cover artwork certainly seems to be in-keeping with those themes.

Towards the end of last year it was revealed that the band were in the studio working on new music, and just before Christmas they confirmed they'd play a show at Alexandra Palace to coincide with their album's release.

Since the New Year the band have released new track 'Barriers' as a free download for fans.

The track is not to be the first single from the new album, but the band said they were eager to get new music out there for people to listen to and were confident enough in the track to unleash it on the world.

Bloodsports will be the group's sixth studio album, and their first since 2002's A New Morning.

A New Morning arrived amid waning public interest and failed to do well in the charts, though the critical response was moderately positive.

Bloodsports, by contrast, will arrive with listener's interest at a peak thanks to the publicity their return has drummed up.
