The book states, "Ava Cherry, a backup singer who lived with the Bowies for a time, reportedly told a friend that ''Mick and David were really sexually obsessed with each other. Even though I was in bed with them many times, I ended up just watching them have sex."

The Wanted have star Max George has joked that Harry Styles and his One Direction, bandmates are attracted to their 'I Found You' pop rivals - and has suggested the boybands settle their differences with a fist fight.

The boybands, who have both experienced huge success in the UK and the US, have rowed in Twitter in recent months, with One Direction star Zayn Malik previously calling The Wanted's Max George 'chlamydia boy' during a Twitter row between the pair. Now, George has suggested the boyband harbour secret feelings for their rivals.

"I think they fancy us really. It's just their way of flirting," he says, before suggesting the feud began when a comment from The Wanted was taken out of context. "It all started because we said they were like the Jonas Brothers. But we like the Jonas Brothers. We didn't mean it offensively."

When asked how he would end the dispute, George adds: "It'd have to be a pub brawl, wouldn't it? And we wouldn't be doing any of that fancy fighting. It's not like we know kung fu or anything. We'd just do what boys do."

The Wanted claims One Direction 'fancy' their pop rivals

George and Malik clashed on Twitter at the end of 2012. The war of words broke out after Malik called George 'a geek' for posting a photo of himself with US star Usher, prompting George to question Malik, asking "Does that mean i'm 'in'?"

Malik's hostile response was: "I'm not sure why your still talking to me mate conversation ended when I called you a geek. p.s your display just how's how much of a wannabe you are :)"

Insults were traded with other members of each boyband getting involed. Tom Parker of The Wanted poked fun at Zayn Malik's hair - and was quickly shot down by Malik, who tweeted: "Mate if I had a face like yours my hair would be the last thing I'd worry about :)." Louis Tomlinson then told The Wanted's members to 'pipe down' before Malik attempted to end the bickering, saying One Direction were due to start rehearsals.

"Enjoy rehearsals. Stay off the bud... It clearly makes u cranky," replied George, before Zayn hit back, suggesting TheWanted star had a sexually transmitted disease.

"Alright chlamydia boy ;)" he replied, angering his rival further.
