Over the next 12 months we are sure to write an awful lot of headlines. Some will excite us, others will depress us. But while (almost) all will be hard facts, what follows is pure fabrication. There is no truth to what you read here.

At least, there isn't yet. We've rounded up the headlines we'd most like to write during 2013, from festival line-ups to No.1 albums, boyband break-ups to artists rarely seen on these shores announcing UK live shows. Will Mumford & Sons really go electronic on their third album - and how far will they go? Will this be the year when every UK festival is drenched in unbroken sunshine, and will feuding bands put aside their differences and get back together?
