Losers of the year: who makes the 2012 round up?

From Morrissey to Chris Brown and Tulisa - who needs to sort themselves out in 2013?

  • Another regular in our Losers of the Week gallery, Axl Rose also made the leap to the coveted Loser of the Year status. The man couldn't do anything right this year, invoking insults from Charlie Sheen and Slash's wife - amongst others. He also fell on his face at Hellfest, got $200k of jewellery stolen, made outrageous tour demands - including one for a square melon, which apparently does exist - and repeatedly showed up late on stage. With the ex members of Guns N Roses declaring that they want nothing more to do with him, Axl is most definitely a loser.

Yes, 2012 is coming to an end, and we're sure there are going to be few people happier to see the back of it than these stars.

While some celebs have had a year nothing short of amazing (Frank Ocean, we're looking at you), as always, others haven't been so lucky. Yes, it's been a year of bad decisions and ill-thought out quotes, and 2012 just wouldn't have been the same without our constant helping of schadenfreude.

From the former Smiths frontman who wouldn't care he was a loser even if he knew, to a boyband desperate to get headlines any way they can, we've got them all here for you to take a look at. Who said that "this has been the worst year of my life"? And which singer has been giving away tickets to her concerts and performing to half empty arenas?

Well, ask yourself no longer and just take a look through our gallery - because we've got all the answers right here...
