Shadow told to cut his set short at Miami nightclub

Despite being one of the most widey respected and reverred DJs on the planet, DJ Shadow had his set at a Miami club cut short this weekend.
Shadow was DJing at Miami's Mansion nightclub on Friday when the club's promoter approached him and told him to cut the set short because it was too confusing, with one fan videoing the whole episode.
Shadow then picks up a mic and tells the crowd: "I've waited a long time to play here, but they said this shit is too future for y'all."
The crowd, for whom the music was apparently too confusing, can thenn audibly expressed their outrage, with one fan repeatedly shouting "F*ck That Shit."
Shadow later took to Twitter, saying: "I don't care if I get kicked out of every rich kid club on the planet. I will never sacrifice my integrity as a DJ...ever #AllBassesCovered"
But this isn't the first time Mansion have taken issue with a world class DJ's selection.
FACT Magazine points out that the club had a similar problem with house DJ Dennis Ferrer in February, cutting his set short for not being 'commercial enough'.
DJ Shadow - known to his mum as Josh Davis - is considered to be a significant figure in the development of instrumental hip-hop and trip-hop.
His first album, Entroducing ..., was the first album ever to be made entirely out of sampled material.
Since then DJ Shadow has remained one of the most forward thinking hip-hop DJs and producers in the world.
