The most expensive music memorabilia of all time

Iconic items that have sold for huge sums

  • 10. Candle In The Wind lyrics - £278,512: The original lyrics to Candle In The Wind 1997, the tribute performed at Princess Diana's funeral, proved unsurprisingly desirable. Music memorabilia seems to be desirable in a way that nothing else is, with fans desperate to hold a piece of history - no matter the cost.

With music being such a dynamic and ever-changing creative field, memorabilia offers a static representation of moments that changed the world.

More than that, they offer fans a chance to feel closer to their idols and offer some insight into their creative process or personality. Madonna's conical bra was recently on sale for £15,000, and this week saw a collection of love letters from Mick Jagger sell for more than £187,000.

But that's nothing compared with the highly desirable items on this list. Check out some of the most expensive memorabilia of all time.
