The past year has been one of ups and downs for the music industry. We've seen some great new acts arrive, but on the other hand we've also seen some catastrophic musical disasters.

In a year that saw Pete Doherty making his acting debut, several stars prove just how dangerous an invention Twitter really is, and a string on on stage illnesses, Gigwise have had plenty to choose from for our 50 disasters of 2012.

Today we count down from 50 to 26, with everyone from Lady Gaga to Alex Reid making shameful appearances.

Hopefully they'll still be able to hold their heads high in 2013.
