'Scream & Shout' debuts: the worst Will.i.am crimes against music

The man who knows nothing of quality control

  • Nicki Minaj. A lot of Nicki's music is quite listenable. Her Will.i.am duet 'Check It Out' is anything but.

Will.i.am and Britney Spears have revealed the video for their new single 'Scream & Shout' and the visuals match the song perfectly.

The duo have teamed up for a new track after Will guested on Britney's 'Big Fat Bass'. 'Scream & Shout' however, makes their previous album track sound like a modern day 'Imagine' with its spoken-word vocals, lazy chorus and shrill, electronic production.

The video also features shameless product placement as cameras and mobile phones are used throughout the clip - no doubt before they ended up going home with the stars.

Will.i.am is a hugely successful producer, even dishing out advice to young wannabes on BBC talent show The Voice. Hopefully none of them listened, because so much of his music is terrible. As he hits a new low with his Britney collaboration 'Scream & Shout', we look back at his worst crimes against music.
