Lady Gaga has teased fans of a potential new single in typically controversial fashion - as she is seen in her underwear and getting spanked in the teaser for her track 'Cake'. Watch the video below.

Yesterday, the star tweeted the link to a video entitled LADY GAGA XX TERRY RICHARDSON, which was 15 seconds long - and somehow still managed to include Gaga crawling around in a thong, getting spanked by a girl in a hot tub and doing some kind of dance in her underwear.

Gaga has previously performed the odd rap track on stage in Rio de Janeiro, but seems to be legitimising it with the new clip.

'Cake' features lyrics such as, "You chew beef, I wear meat / And stay on top of the -- I'm-I'm-I'm-I'm / Getting fat and so is my bank /With a sold out world tour, bitch." Subtle.

However, she doesn't seem to have yet made her mind up as to what it actually is. The singer responded to a fan on Twitter who said they were waiting for the full video by saying, "full version? was not a music video...just real life "XX"...i throw parties and perform all the time while my friends film."

But then she later took to the Little Monsters website to state, "i didn't say there WOULDNT be a music video."

The only description on the YouTube video simply says, "We had a blast in Sao P."
