Brandon Flowers wants his band The Killers to team up with Westcountry rock superstars Muse to record a 'spectacular' duet together.

Both bands played at the MTV European Music Awards (EMAs) in Frankfurt last weekend. Following the event Killers frontman Brandon Flowers told The Sun that he lked the idea of working with the British riock giants.

"We've become good frineds with Muse," said Flowers. "We get along so well, so I'd never rule out working together."

Both bands, from either side of the Atlantic, have made a name for themselves with huge, soaring stadium rock.

Flowers said: "It would be spectacular. the choruses would be huge."

The singer's comments come as The Killers announce their biggest standalone show ever at Wembley Stadium next year.

The band complete their current UK tour with a two shows at London's O2 Areana this Friday and Saturday following the release of their latest album 'Battle Born' this summer.

The Killers will play the Odyssey Arena, in Belfast, and the O2 Dublin at the end of February next year, but fans' next chance to see them in England will be the show at London's Wembley Arena in June 2013.

'Battle Born' topped the UK charts in September, knocking Londoners The xx from the top spot and giving the band their fourth number one of their career.
