Relive Kim Kardashian's attempt at a pop career - if you dare...

Dorothy Perkins fashion designer wasn't her first option

  • He named a song ''Theraflu''; the brand name of an American cough and cold remedy. The track that Kanye made with DJ Khaled has since been renamed ''Cold'', but for a while there, Americans were wondering what was going on. It''s like Wiley calling a track ''Calpol''. Actually that could happen.

Kim Kardashian is known for a lot of things and fortunately, music isn't one of them. The phenonenon that is the Kardashian sisters are in London promoting their new range of clothes, but fashion was not Kim's first choice of career, oh no...

Of course - there was the sex tape that launched KK onto an unsuspecting world already struggling to come to terms with the existence of Paris Hilton. But as there's no real future in filming yourself having sex, Kim Kardashian's first attempt at a career of her own making was as a pop singer.

Needless to say, it wasn't very good.

Kardashian released a dance single in 2011 called 'Jam (Turn It Up)' and she was as good at singing as she is at keeping her personal life to herself. The autotuned track was lumbered with lyrics such as 'They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam / They playin' my jam" and "Turn it up / turn it up / turn it up / turn it up / turn it up / turn it up DJ."

Listen to Kim Kardashian's 2011 pop attempt below.

Much of Central London's Oxford Street was shut down this week when the Kardashian sisters hit the shopping street to promote their new range. Kanye West is also in town, joining Kim on her promotional tour. The pair have been followed by paparazzi, who even snapped the once-credible rapper as he took a tumble over a pavement.

Below: did Kim Kardashian kill Kanye West's cool?
