'Sex On Fire' stars hit the UK next year for major city live shows

Tickets for six Kings of Leon UK live shows are on sale now. Full details below.

The 'Sex on Fire' four-piece will play six dates in June and July, including two at London's O2 Arena.

The London shows take place on 12 June and 13 June. The band will then move on to Manchester Arena where they will play on 24 June and 25 June.

The tour will conclude with two dates at Birmingham's LG Arena on 9 July and 10 July. Tickets go on sale today.

The shows next summer are likely to showcase new material from the band, as bassist Jared Followill recently told BBC 6Music that fans should expect a new album early next year.

He said: "We are in the writing process right now and it's coming along pretty quickly. We'll definitely get into the studio.

"We have no plans of finishing it this year but definitely early next year."

The new LP will signal the light at the end of the tunnel after a turbulent period for the Followills.

Next summer's gigs will be Kings of Leon's first return to the live stage in the UK since frontman Caleb Followill stormed off stage at a gig in Dallas last year.

The remainder of the band's 2011 US tour was subsequently cancelled.

The Tennessee rockers' last appearances on British soil were in the summer of 2011, when they played a string of outdoor shows including two dates at London's Hyde Park.

Caleb and his wife Lucy Aldridge recently had their first child, Dixie Pearl Followill. Whereas drummer Nathan Followill is expecting his first child next month.

Nathan also released his debut EP with his side project, Smoke and Jackal, last month. The project is a collaboration with Mona frontman, Nick Brown.

Kings of Leon's full 2013 UK tour schedule is below. Tickets are on sale now. For more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
