Girls Aloud have confirmed that they will be releasing a second single from album Ten - but have so far not admitted what it will be.

The girl group recently released new single 'Something New', from upcoming anniversary and greatest hits album Ten, which gained a great reaction from fans.

They have now also confirmed that a second track from the album will also be released as a single, through a post on the band's Twitter account.

The girls wrote on Twitter, "Having so much fun putting together our TV performances. There will be Something old , something new and our 2nd single."

'Something New' is going to be released as this year's Children In Need single, with the girls performing the track for the first time on the show during the charity telethon. The song will then be available to dowload from November 18.

Girls Aloud performing in 2008 - they return in 2013.

And despite claims by Cheryl Cole that the upcoming hits collection would be the band's last release together, Kimberly Walsh has spoken out and said that could be untrue.

The claims came from Cheryl Cole's recently released auotbiography, Cheryl Cole: My Story, where she wrote that Girls Aloud's 2013 tour would be a farewell to the fans.

"We’ll be working on a tour and greatest hits album. Then I think that’s it for Girls Aloud," she wrote in her recently-released book. "We’ve achieved more than any of us ever dared to dream of."

However, bandmate Kimberley, who is currently wowing BBC audiences with her ballroom skills on Strictly Come Dancing, now claims the girl group's future is wide open to future work together.

"Cheryl wrote the book a long time ago. She obviously wrote it before any of the music, before we had anything in place," said Walsh in an interview with Radio One.

Still to come, something old, and below, 'Something New':
