Taylor Swift naked? Singer wants her music to do the talking

Future nudity unlikely as star craves credibility

  • Simon Neil - When the Biffy Clyro man takes to the stage he very rarely wears a top. Instead, he goes for the sweaty body, hair flailing, tattooed look that so many rockers have sported down the years

Anyone hoping to catch a flash of US star Taylor Swift naked might end up disappointed - the singer claims she would rather her music do the talking. What a let down.

The 22-year-old star has spoken of her desire to maintain musical credibility, and claims she would rather her fans pay attention to her songs - instead of whether she has a washboard stomach or not.

"I don’t really take my clothes off because I don’t think I can pull it off," she tells The Sun newspaper. "Also, most people are only going to focus on one or two things about you — I want that to be that I write my own songs, not that I have great abs."

The singer also spoke of working with UK star Ed Sheeran, who Swift claims was the most exciting star she worked with on new album Red.

"I was really excited about getting to work with Ed Sheeran because I love his songs so much — they’re so beautiful," she added. "So when we ended up doing a duet, I was just so happy to have his voice on the record."

Swift has teamed up with Sheeran on her new album, Red

Sheeran last week spoke of his apprehension about meeting Swift to work together, saying some stars of her level have a 'douchebag' pass, and that he imagined she might be one.

"I expected her to be one of these artists who is allowed to have a douchebag pass but she was the loveliest person I've met," reported Contactmusic.

Swift and Sheeran recorded 'Everything Has Changed' for Swift's new album. Listen to the duet below.
