Tulisa reveals Kelly Rowland rift as she debuts new single, 'Sight Of You'

X Factor judge reveals 2011 show tensions

  • Madonna vs Lady Gaga: Lady Gaga has always cited Madonna as one of her biggest influences - so it must have come as quite a blow when Madonna began promoting her MDNA tour by criticising her young pop rival. Madonna called Gaga 'reductive' when asked about similarities between her track 'Express Yourself' and Gaga's 'Born This Way'. Madge then included a cover of Gaga's hit in her live shows, prompting Gaga to speak out about the cover at a live show in New Zealand.

"It sometimes makes people feel better about themselves to put other people down or make fun of them or maybe make mockery of their work. And that doesn't make me feel good at all," said Gaga. Later, she declined Madonna's invite to join her on stage for a duet.

X Factor judge Tulisa has revealed her preference for new X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger over 2011 panel member Kelly Rowland.

The singer, who premiered new single 'Sight Of You' yesterday (19 October, 2012), discussed her love for the former Pussycat Doll and backstage tensions between her and the one-time Destiny's Child member.

The cart-topping 'Young' star has spoken openly about her admiration for Nicole Scherzinger, following initial reports that the two female judges had clashed during filming on the TV talent show. Now, Tulisa has set the record straight, claiming that Scherzinger is easy to work with, saying she is: "Too nice to argue with."

She had less kind words for Rownland however, revealing their relationship was strictly professional, and that behind the scenes - there was no friendship.

"It's just business. You don't need to bring it backstage," she tells We Love Pop magazine. "Obviously with me and Kelly, there were times when it went backstage and we wouldn't talk, which was unfortunate."

Things between Tulisa and Kelly were 'just business'

Tulisa is rumoured to have caused her own backstage controversy on this year's X Factor show however, with tabloids claiming the singer has angered backstage staff with her smoking - and inviting party loving friends into her dressing room during filming.

"She's smoking in her dressing room in the breaks and it's full of her chavvy pals drinking from the minibar," says a source to The Sun newspaper.

"When they won't leave it means security staff are stuck there waiting to lock up."

The drama continues on ITV1 tonight, obviously.

Tulisa premiered new single 'Sight Of You' this week. Listen below.
