Coldplay are to hold an original exhibition of their artwork for charity, and they're even going to put some special pieces up for sale.

The world famous four-piece are to swap the UK's stadiums for an art gallery, as they exhibit original album art from their latest album Mylo Xyloto.

The exhibition will take place at Proud Galleries in London next month, and all of the money raised will go to the Kids Company Charity.

All of Coldplay have been strong supporters of the charity for a number of years. Frontman Chris Martin was keen to show his support for the cause, and explain how the band collaborated with artist Paris when producing the artwork.

He said: "Kids Company is a phenomenal organisation that is very close to our hearts. While we were making the last album we did quite a lot of painting with our friend Paris."

The exhibition will showcase three pieces of artwork by Coldplay and Paris that were painted on a specially created wall in the band's studio.

Martin added: "We built a special wall in our studio and sprayed it, wrote on it and threw things at it until it eventually became the artwork for Mylo Xyloto. This exhibition will be the first time that the wall has appeared in public."

Chris Martin donated a signed pair of shoes to the Small Steps Project earlier this year.

In addition there will also be a smaller wall on display, which has been painted by Paris and children from the Kids Company Charity.

All of the work on display, including the original 7m X 2.5m wall that formed Mylo Xyloto's cover art, will be on sale to members of the public, with all the proceeds going to the Kids Company charity.

Coldplay are also releasing a DVD next month featuring footage of the Montreal and Paris concerts on the Mylo Xyloto tour, as well as their Glastonbury 2011 headline slot.
