Fresh rumours have emerged that Fleetwood Mac will appear at Glastonbury 2013.

In an interview with ABC radio earlier today, vocalist, Stevie Nicks added weight to the suggestions that the pop-behemoths will be at Worthy Farm next year.

She revealed the band are likely to be on tour by next spring, which would provide the perfect platform for a set at next June's festival.

She said: "We go into rehearsals somewhere around the end of February. So if everything goes to plan, we should probably be out by the end of April or May, I would think."

This comes just weeks after Glastonbury organiser, Emily Eavis, posted a tweet asking followers who they would like to see next year, with Fleetwood Mac at the top of many festival-lovers' wish lists.

Eavis has also expressed her own desire to see the legendary stadium-fillers at Worthy Farm next year.

Still rocking: will Stevie Nicks rejoin Fleetwood Mac for Glastonbury 2013

She confessed: "I think Fleetwood Mac would be amazing to get, I'll be totally honest, we haven't had any conversations with them yet but, you know, it's still early days".

After previous claims that Nicks was the main stumbling block to previous reunions, it is likely to be encouraging for Mac fans, and those lucky enough to have Glastonbury tickets, to hear the news coming from her fist-hand.

A further revelation is Nicks' suggestion that there could also be new material in the pipeline to coincide with the tour.

She added: "Well, actually, maybe like two songs, maybe four, who knows? We don't really know yet because we're not in the world of Fleetwood Mac yet".

If the reunion, and indeed the performance at Glastonbury comes to fruition next year, then it is likely to involve Nicks, along with foremost members Lindsay Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, and John McVie.
