Leona Lewis has revealed she recorded a version of Rihanna's 'We Found Love' with Calvin Harris before Rihanna - and that she believes her version of the track is better.

Leona returns this week with new album Glassheart, after scoring another Top Ten single with her Emeli Sande-penned track 'Trouble' in this week's chart. However, the album could have sounded very different if things had gone to the original plan.l

Leona tells The Daily Star: "I worked with Calvin and we recorded We Found Love. But he went touring with Rihanna and she ended up releasing it.

"I didn’t commit to it because I wanted 'Trouble' to be my first single so I think that was another reason they went with Rihanna. It was the same version and production but mine’s better."

She went on to add: "I still have the recording but I’d never leak it. That’s so unprofessional.

"There are so many songs I’ve recorded, only to hear other people singing them. It happens all the time.

"It was a bit annoying to see how big a hit it was around the world but if I’d released it maybe it wouldn’t have done as well."

She also recently spoke about her sleepwalking fears, admitting that she has a fear of falling from her balcony.

Leona has also been linked to One Direction's Liam Payne, with rumours that they may be a new celebrity couple. However, the fellow X Factor alum denied it, saying: "We are good friends, that’s all I’m saying. I don’t really talk about my relationships.

"Some One Direction fans can be ruthless but luckily I haven’t had any abuse."
