Cheryl Cole has revealed she told Simon Cowell she hated him following her firing from X Factor USA.

Cole, who was left embarrassed after being axed from the US reality show and replaced by Nicole Scherzinger, opened up about her feelings at that time in her career in a new autopbiography.

Writing in the book, Cheryl says: "[Cowell] didn't even have the guts to phone or send a message warning me what was coming.

"I was furious with Simon for letting it happen like this. I believed we had a good friendship and I couldn't understand why he just hadn't been straight with me."

The 'Promise This' star admitted to sending Cowell an angry text which said: "I hate you.

Adding: "I understand you're a businessman, and what I've learned from this is that business means more to you than our friendship."

Meanwhile, it was rumoured earlier this week that Cheryl could be set to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming Hangover 3 movie.
