Music's worst meltdowns: Green Day strop and more

After Billie Joe Armstrong's Las Vegas stage explosion, find out who else has lost it in front of fans

He asked a fan to come onstage to ask them what he thought of the previous night''s performace, to which the fan merely said, "It sucked." Billy replied sarcastically to the fan, "I liked that song you wrote, what was it called? [titled unfit to print] That was a big hit in Europe."

A performance by Green Day ended in disaster on the weekend, when Billie Joe Armstrong launched into an x-rated rant and smashed his guitar at the band's iHeartRadio show in Las Vegas.

The drama erupted when Green Day were half way through playing their classic hit 'Basket Case' and a sign flashed up that the band had just one minute left to play before Usher was due on the stage.

It was later revealed that Armstrong was admitted to rehab, with an official statement saying: "Billie Joe is seeking treatment for substance abuse. We would like everyone to know that our set was not cut short by Clear Channel and to apologize to those we offended at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas."

Who else has exploded on stage? We take a look at some other legendry outbursts, some completely justified, some downright disgusting. Check out some of musics worst tantrums here...
