Muse reveal new song 'Panic Stations' - listen

Latest track from 'The 2nd Law' revealed ahead of October release

  • Dating Hollywood actresses: It''s such a cliche - world famous rocker dates pretty blonde starlet. But Matt Bellamy''s relationship with Kate Hudson was a little different, simply because we know very little about it. Despite their joint international fame, the pair have kept their relationship fiercely private. It''s almost as if it is a genuine romance. The couple are engaged and have a one-year-old son, Bingham Hawn ''Bing'' Bellamy.

Muse have revealed new song 'Panic Stations' from their forthcoming album 'The 2nd Law'. Hear the song on Gigwise now.

'Panic Stations' was played by the band for the first time at a German gig earlier this week.

The track will feature on 'The 2nd Law' when it is released in October. It joins 'Madness' and 'Survival' on the list of songs fans have heard from the album prior to its release.

Muse previously revealed that new album The 2nd Law is their most personal and intimate to date, claiming that the new release is the first time they have discussed their relationships on record.

The band's new album, their sixth studio release, is due for release on 1 October 2012 and will see the West country trio open up like never before. The new album also sees the band experiment with dubstep for their first time in their career - as heard on new single 'Madness' and previous instrumental release, 'Unsustainable'.

"We're singing about things like relationships for the first time," says Matt Bellamy to the New Zealand Herald. "Actually, I did that for a bit on the first album [1999's 'Showbiz'] but then I started doing interviews and thought, 'Oh my God, I can't answer these questions they're getting too personal'. So that's when we started getting all conceptual and pretending the album was about the end of the world, or whatever.

Continuing, Bellamy spoke of the band's newfound interest in dubstep, changing sounds on each album and the band's sense of adventure when it comes to each record.
