Muse are set to perform new tracks from their forthcoming album 'The 2nd Law' on the new series of 'Later... With Jools Holland'.

The 41st series of the live music show will return for 10 weeks starting live on Tuesday 25 September, with the first full-length recording airing on Friday 28 September.

Also announced to appear on the new series of the show are The Beach Boys, who are currently celebrating their 50th anniversary.

Big names such as The xx, The Killers, The Vaccines, Mumford & Sons and Green Day will also join Jools on the show.

Other acts set to appear include Public Image Limited, Natalie Duncan, John Cale, Dionne Warwick, Jessie Ware, Madness, Grizzly Bear, Polica, Rodriguez and the hotly-tipped Alt-J.

Muse recently unveiled the new video to their single 'Madness', which can be watched below, while singer Matt Bellamy admitted that he didn't think people took his band very seriously.

The band were also recently sued for $3.5 million by Charles Bofrass for 'stolen' songs and ideas.
