The ten bands making the festival truly special

  • The xx: The melancholy London trio release their second album Coexist on the Monday after Bestival 2012 - where they perform their only festival show of the year. As the last big festival of the year, Bestival has a reputation for being one of the biggest parties of the year - and has a reputation for boasting a line-up of big name acts unlike any other on the UK festival scene.

2012 is no exception, with a mix of artists playing their only UK festival gig at this weekend's Isle Of Wight event, artists tipped for huge success in 2013 squeezing fans into tiny tents and some of the biggest and best names of the year's music scene making one of their final performances of the year this weekend.

Better still, the festival is set for unbroken sunshine all weekend, so festival goers will be enjoying the music, art and performance on one of the hottest weekends of the year.

Check out our recommendations of the bands that are making Besitval 2012 a truly special experience.
